In
addition to our modern machinery, we have at considerable expense, installed sophisticated
dust extraction equipment. Every possible precaution is taken to minimize the
quantity of dust particles entering the air in our workshop area. This reduction
in airborne dust has a two-fold benefit upon our work environment: it reduces
the fire risks associated with small particles of flammable material and it creates
a comfortable work atmosphere containing a minimum of airborne dust particles.
This
dust reduction system is composed of continuously running overhead dust filters,
vacuum hoses attached to all dust generating equipment where possible and moveable
vacuum hoses for use with machinery where it is either not possible or not practical
to attach hoses permanently. All filters are checked and cleaned as part of the
daily clean-up schedule. All filters are replaced according to a fixed schedule
unless excessive fouling is experienced. In this case they are replaced immediately
and monitored more closely until conditions return to normal. |
